Announcing the Results of UJ's Award for Distinguished Researchers

54 researchers at The University of Jordan received the Distinguished Researcher Award for 2011 that organized by UJ annually.
The results were as the following: 22 researchers from the Faculty of Agriculture, 12 Researchers from the faculty of Pharmacy, 7 researchers from the Faculty of Science, 4 researchers from King Abdulla II School for Information Technology , 3 researchers from the Faculty of Dentistry, 2 researchers from the Faculty of Business, 1 researcher from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology,1 researcher from the Faculty of Educational Sciences and others from Women's Studies Center and Language Center.
The research must be evaluated by academic and scientific achievements, patent or books before the candidacy, the researcher must have at least 3 published research adopted by UJ or ISI as well as the researcher must have one written or translated book accredited by the Deanship of Scientific Research at UJ. 
The chance of winning can be increased if the researcher has a number of patents, works within academic team as editor or a member in the editorial board at scientific journal accredited by UJ in that year. In addition, the research must be tackled subjects related to Jordanian society.
Moreover, the submission deadline is the first week of January, while the deadline for submitting research to the Chairman of the Committee is mid-February.
The committee headed by the Vice President for Scientific Research, Graduate Studies and Quality, Prof. Hala Khyami- Horani, and included the Dean of the Faculty of Science, Prof. Fuad Kittaneh, The Dean of the Faculty of Educational Sciences, Prof. Mohammad Walid Batsh, in accordance with the conditions approved by the Council of Deans of UJ under the Universities' Law No. 20 of 2009 and its amendments.
It is noteworthy that the awards will be distributed to the distinguished researchers by UJ's president at the conclusion of the graduation ceremony of graduate students at the university of Jordan.
