The Department has achieved the following:
1. Completion of Securing the Data Center with Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Project.
2. Conclusion of the University and Hospital network Protection Project.
3. Commencing the execution of the wireless network project on campus and hospital.
4. Completion of the implementation process of the IP CCTV SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM on campus as a first stage.
5. Begun procedures to update the main computer lab at the University/ Amman and the sub-computer lab in Aqaba/ bending tender.
6. Provision of high efficiency Blade servers which minimize the use of physical space, energy and cooling loads.
7. Transitioned from Microsoft Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2010.
8. Providing advice and technical support to external bodies such as the Islamic University and the Higher Council for Affairs of Persons with Disabilities.
9. Concluded an agreement with Oracle Corporation to obtain licenses for software used at the University and provide free courses for the center’s staff and obtain financial support for projects executed at the University.
10. Signed an agreement with the Central Bank to save a copy of its weekly data backup.
11. Successfully Launching (
Live@Edu) project for students.
12. Start a (Disaster Recovery Solution) study for the major operating systems at the University.
