Based on royal directives and international human rights agreements, particularly those pertaining to the rights of persons with disabilities, the Student Counseling Department was established within the Deanship of Student Affairs in 2002. Its primary mission is to provide specialized support and services to students with disabilities and to all university students through two divisions: the Division for Supporting Students with Disabilities and the Division for Counseling and Mental Health. The department conducts numerous activities that contribute to helping university students achieve optimal adaptation to university life.
