My dear students, I urge you to be diligent and hardworking, making the most of your time, whether dedicated to studying or extracurricular activities. Student activities, in all their cultural, athletic, and social diversity, refine students' experiences and broaden their horizons.
My dear students, the university, before being a place for acquiring knowledge, is a place for cultivating minds and refining morals and character. I hope you will utilize your university years to engage in serious and constructive discussions with your peers and professors on all life and social issues that concern every citizen. Let us elevate the level of dialogue, learn to counter arguments with reasoned debate, and make listening to others' viewpoints the foundation of discussion. Let us respect each other's opinions, even if they conflict with our personal convictions. Dear students, I promise to provide you with all the assistance I can to solve any problems and overcome any difficulties you may encounter at the university. I expect a great deal of diligence, discipline, and activity from you, and I will be overjoyed when the academic year ends and each of you has achieved your aspirations.
