Dr. Saleh Al-Rawadiya, President of the University of Jordan – Aqaba Branch, visited the Marine Science Station as part of his ongoing oversight of the university’s academic and research facilities. During the visit, he reviewed the operations at the station, inspected the laboratories and offices, and learned about the nature of the research activities and scientific services provided.
Dr. Al-Rawadiya met with the Station Director, Dr. Mohammad Al-Wahsha, who briefed him on the latest developments in the station’s work, highlighted ongoing research projects, and discussed the challenges facing operations as well as future development plans. The meeting also addressed ways to enhance research performance and develop the station’s infrastructure to better serve its scientific objectives.
At the conclusion of the visit, Dr. Al-Rawadiya offered several observations and recommendations regarding administrative and technical aspects, emphasizing the importance of raising the station’s operational standards, strengthening its role in supporting scientific research, and protecting the marine environment. He also commended the efforts of the station’s staff.
