Achievements of the Student Activities Division

1. The student football league was held on fields rented from the Ministry of Education until the 2013 academic year, when a five-a-side pitch was built on campus and the league was held there.

2. The first student union elections were held at the branch for the 2009/2010 academic year, with 15 members elected.

3. The first student Umrah trip was organized on June 8, 2011.

4. The first student graduation ceremony was held at the InterContinental Hotel in 2013.

5. The first university choir was formed, and a music instructor was appointed on June 12, 2012. Choir members participated in numerous community activities.

6. Several partnerships were established with organizations, such as INJAZ, to provide student training.

7. A supervisor for sports activities was appointed on October 13, 2014.

8. Students participated in the Second Aqaba Youth Conference on March 17, 2014. 9. The "My Country Technology" initiative was held in cooperation with Al-Hussein Bin Talal University at the branch in April 2014.

10. The number of student seats allocated to the Student Union was increased based on proportional and closed lists.

11. An open day for electronic games was held in cooperation with the King Abdullah Fund's gaming lab at the branch on April 3, 2014.

12. A workshop on the concept of entrepreneurship and self-employment was held in cooperation with the Entrepreneurial Innovators Association at the branch in December 2014.

13. A set of musical instruments was acquired for the branch from the main university in May 2014.

14. A group breakfast was held for the children of the SOS Children's Village on July 17, 2014.

15. Lectures on climate change and health were held on campus as part of the World Health Organization (WHO) activities on November 27, 2014.

16. The university choir participated in a concert organized by the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority and the US Embassy choir on December 5, 2014. 17. Organizing a cultural event to celebrate World Arabic Language Day in cooperation with the Arar Arabic Association on December 22, 2014.

18. Securing financial support for outstanding graduating students from colleges.

19. Receiving applications for student grants and loans until a cultural advisor is appointed at the end of 2013.

20. Receiving applications for the Royal Grant until a Royal Grant representative is appointed.

21. Honoring outstanding students in extracurricular activities.

22. Appointing a student counselor on October 27, 2016.

23. Holding a theatrical performance on entrepreneurship entitled "My Project, My Future," aimed at raising youth awareness of population and development issues, in cooperation with the Higher Population Council.

24. Recording a television program about the elections presented by His Excellency Samih Al-Maayta entitled "The Jordanian Parliament Votes" on August 15, 2016. 25. An open day was held for all students to raise awareness about the parliamentary elections, in cooperation with the National Democratic Institute, on July 28, 2016.

26. A breakfast was held for students on campus on June 29, 2016.

27. A forum for Jordanian university students was held on May 30, 2016, focusing on university violence, its causes, and its effects on youth and society.

28. The Petra Education Directorate's school parliament was hosted, and a dialogue was held with students on May 4, 2016.

29. A handicrafts festival was held in cooperation with the Faculty of Tourism, and parents were invited to attend on campus on May 2-3, 2016.

30. A day was held for international students on March 16, 2017.

31. A "Clean Up the World" campaign was held in cooperation with the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature, under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Basma bint Ali, on October 10, 2018. 32. A recreational activity was organized for SOS Children's Village students by a group of university students on April 12, 2018.

33. An activity titled "Enhancing Career and Vocational Guidance Capacities for Youth" was held in cooperation with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) on February 26, 2019.

34. A celebration of the Prophet's Birthday was held on November 14, 2019.

35. An initiative on corruption was launched in cooperation with the Rasheed Center for Integrity and Transparency as part of the "Let's Talk" campaign, which aims to facilitate access to information about corruption and ways to combat it in Jordan, on November 21, 2019.

36. The Nawa Foundation, affiliated with the Crown Prince Foundation, donated a number of tablets to students from low-income families in November 2020 and conducted online workshops for students.

37. A heritage event was held on the Aqaba campus on December 10, 2019. 38. A virtual meeting was held between students and the head of the department on December 3, 2020, to answer their inquiries and address the main difficulties and challenges they face.

39. Students participated in the Hult Prize competition on December 14, 2020.

40. A memorandum of understanding was signed between the university branch and Al Thuraya Foundation for Studies and Training on January 12, 2021, to involve students in several training programs aimed at enhancing their skills.
