First: the Computer Proficiency Exam for the First Semester of the Academic Year 2013/2014 will be held on Saturday, 30/11/2013.
Second: exam instructions:
1. Each student must hold a personal identification: University ID, or civil status ID or a driving license.
2. Mobile phones are not allowed into the exam room.
3. Each student is to adhere to the allocated time and place.
4. Late students will not be allowed to take the exam.
5. Students who previously applied for the exam will not be allowed to retake the exam.
Exam material includes:
Theoretical Part: the basic concepts of computer and networks.
Practical part: OFFICE 2007 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

The Center for Women’s Studies and in collaboration with the KAVINFO foundation, Denmark, holds a series of lectures and workshops in areas of women’s empowerment in the labor market, gender in wars and armed conflicts, the role of women in the democratic process, political participation of women, and quotas for women, in addition to other gender issues. The Center will be hosting Professor Drude Dahlerup / Stockholm University in Sweden, and Professor Anette Borchorst / Aalborg University in Denmark, and in partnership with Professor Amal Kharouf, Women's Studies Center/ University of Jordan.
Lectures will be held during the period from October 28, 2013 until November 07, 2013, daily from 5:00-8:00 pm.

The German Section in the Department of European Languages invites its students to participate in the activities of the German Cultural Days, held on 29-30 September 2013, in the Deanship of Student Affairs at the University of Jordan (UJ).
On the first day, we will host the educational musical band LinguaPlus and there will be an exhibition for the active German companies in Jordan. In addition, Goethe Institute will organize competitions in German language for the students and will distribute the gifts.
As for the second day, the President of the University of Jordan, Prof. Ekhleif Tarawneh and HE Ralph Tarraf, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, will open an exhibition about the historical events in the German revolution of 17 June 1953, which is considered an important event in the German history and there will also be cultural seminars in which Greman academics will participate.
At the end of the event, a German movie about Germans‘ life and the life of foreigners in Germany will be shown in the American Corner.

The University of Jordan announces that accepting applications for admission to study at the University of Jordan on the basis of Artistic excellence for Jordanian students who obtained a high school diploma or equivalent starts as of Sunday morning 18/08/2013 until Sunday 25/08/2013
Applicants should pass the admission test in one of the following domains: painting, Oriental singing, ability to play a musical instruments (organ, Piano, Violin and Zither), drama, calligraphy, and performance.
Students who wish to apply are asked to visit the Deanship of Student Affairs / second floor, and bring along the following documents:
• High school transcript, certified, provided rate of not less than (65%)
• A birth certificate.
• A certified copy of the ID.
• Certificate of good conduct from the school where he/ she studied.
• 2 photos.
• A proof Artistic excellence certified by the Ministry of Education.
• A certificate from the Art center or club to which the student belongs, certified by the affiliate party.

The University of Jordan announces that applications for admission to the Export-Import Management vocational diploma program for the first semester of the academic year 2013/2014 is now open until Thursday, October 22, 2013.
The program is the first of its kind in the region and enjoys the support and sponsorship of the World Trade Organization (WTO), and requires the student to complete 24 credit hours during one academic year.
The program focuses on aspects and practical procedures of import and export operations and provides students with labor market skills.
