In a step to enhance communication between the university administration and faculty members, Vice President/President of the Aqaba Branch, Prof. Nazeeh Al-Btoush, met with faculty members to discuss recent developments and extend warm wishes to everyone on the beginning of a new academic year.

Professor Al-Btoush expressed his confidence and pride in the effective role played by faculty members in increasing progress and enhancing development. Al-Btoush emphasised the importance of teamwork to achieve the aims of the the university but also reiterated that success, in light of the digital shift and modern technology, requires working together in ways consistent with modern educational requirements, including the need for creating new specialzations that can cope with the needs of labour market and developments in all sciences.

The meeting discussed a number of issues related to the financial status of the university and the ongoing projects which the branch works on establishing/further developing with external funders and local institutions. Furthermore, Prof. Al-Btoush emphasized the importance of the role played by faculty members in the decision making process, and the necessity for having amicable relationships with the students by getting them involved in different activities and through activiating programmes of academic guidance in all departments. 

Towards the end of the meeting, the president answered questions and inquiries from faculty members, noting that such meetings will continue to take place as a way of modernizing adminsitration through highlighting the role played by faculty members in advancing the university and leading change.
