The IT School at the Aqaba Branch of the University of Jordan organized a workshop on the importance of cybersecurity in cooperation with the National Center for Cybersecurity. The event mainly aiming at enhancing the awareness of new students regarding the significance of cybersecurity, and was attended by a representative of the National Center for Cybersecurity, and the Dean of the IT School, Dr. Issam Al-Hadid, in addition to faculty members who provided support and guidance to participants.

The workshop started with an introductory note for the new students, where university regulations and instructions were explained, and the students got briefed about the available activities. Furthermore, the NCC presented the audience with comprehensive overview of their work and the opportunities available for graduates as a way to raise awareness about future opportunities in the labor market. This workshop comes as part of the efforts exerted by the university to enhance applied education and contribute to improving students' skills in the fields of modern technology.
