Celebrating the Silver Jubilee of His Majesty King Abdullah II's assumption of his constitutional powers, the Directorate of Culture at Aqaba Governorate, in cooperation with the Aqaba Branch of the University of Jordan, organized a National Reading Program. The program included opening the 2024 Jordanian Family Library Exhibition as part of the 'Reading for All Festival' in the various governorates of the Kingdom.

The exhibition was opened by the representative of the Vice President UJ/Aqaba, Dr. Muhammad Al-Maharmeh, and the exhibition was attended by a wide range of visitors, citizens university students and school students of all ages. The exhibition aimed at providing publications of books that carry rich value, displayed at affordable prices in a step to encourage reading and with the aim of establishing a library in every Jordanian house.

The exhibition also included a display of a number of artistic drawings drawn by students of the Aqaba Branch of the University of Jordan, in cooperation with the Ayla Association for Heritage and Arts. The artistic display added a cultural and aesthetic dimension to the event but also shed light on students' talents of visual arts.

The program in general seeks to promote the culture of reading in Jordanian society, and provide books at affordable prices that contribute to spreading cultural and awareness. The exhibition continued for two days as an important platform for interaction among visitors and as a means for enhancing the partnership between cultural and educational institutions.
