2024-12-17T21:00:00ZThe College of Nursing organizes an awareness lecture on the etiquette and dangers of wedding and graduation processionsIn cooperation with Aqaba Governorate Police Directorate/Traffic Department, the College of Nursing at the Aqaba Branch of the University of Jordan organized an awareness lecture on 'The etiquette and dangers of wedding and graduation processions'. The lecture aimed at raising awareness among students and members of the local community regarding the dangers that may accompany such occasions, and how to avoid illegal behaviours that endanger public safety.The lecture was delivered by Captain Hakim Al-Zawaideh, who addressed the importance of raising awareness about the etiquette and dangers of wedding and graduation processions but also discussed the legal procedures that must be taken to ensure the safety of citizens on such occasions.The lecture which was attended by the Dean of the College of Nursing along with a number of faculty members, and university students also highlighted the wrong habits which are prevalent during wedding and graduation processions as well as the penalties resulting from such practices. Furthermore, the lecture emphasized the importance of maintaining order and adhering to traffic laws to ensure public safety, protecting lives and maintaining public order. The attendees were also made aware of the risks associated with neglecting traffic laws, and ways to avoid traffic accidents that may affect society in general. Towards the end, the Aqaba Traffic Department was thanked for its great efforts in organizing the lecture and contributing to enhancing community awareness.
