The event was attended by faculty deans, academic and administrative staff, and a group of university students.In his speech, Professor Dr. Al-Batoush emphasized that Independence Day is a source of pride for all Jordanians—a glorious occasion planted by the founding fathers and carried forward by the loyal sons and daughters of the homeland across all fields. He praised the achievements of Jordan under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein, which have made the country a model of progress and development.Dr. Al-Batoush also highlighted the pioneering role of higher education institutions in preparing aware and capable generations who can continue the path of building and progress. He affirmed the University of Jordan’s commitment to keeping pace with scientific and technological advancements through the introduction of specialized programs such as Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, and other future-focused disciplines, thereby enhancing national capabilities and contributing to sustainable development.The celebration included a speech by the Student Union President, expressing pride and loyalty on this cherished national occasion. The program also featured documentary videos and multilingual Independence Day greetings, reflecting the cultural diversity and unity within the university community.The event concluded with the honoring of several entities that supported the university’s activities and community engagement efforts. Attendees then moved to the "Petra Gate" within the university campus, where they enjoyed performances by the Simsimiyya Band and Nakheel Folklore Troupe, in a national atmosphere that embodied the spirit of belonging and loyalty to Jordan and its Hashemite leadership.Wishing Jordan continued prosperity under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince.
